I learned so much from Mrs. Liebelt, although the most important lesson I learned was not taught in the classroom. Sometimes in life there are circumstances in which you really have no control over. You never know what kind of curveballs God is going to throw your way. While your circumstances may not change, you can always change your perspective. You are always in control of how you react to situations. What life throws at you does not decide who you are and what you become; it is determined by your attitude and perspective. Personally, for me, Susan was a true testament of this.
What I learned wasn't taught from a lesson plan or in a day or weeks. It took years to finally understand this, but I am so grateful I did. I will always carry the important life lessons Sue taught me. Not surprisingly, she is one of the reasons why I am pursing a degree in Education. She will forever have a special place in my heart. - Kayla Houchin |
